Hypochlorous acid

We have been battling pm for a while now with grow safe. While the grow safe works pretty good we can't seem to knock it out completely.

I've noticed a few guys I trust using hypochlorous acid for cleaning and other things so I started asking questions. Turns out that it will kill pm and bud rot on contact.

You can get a machine from Amazon for 150 bux and the 3 ingredients to make it are ro/distilled  water, sodium chloride or potassium chloride and vinegar. Here's the link to the machine

There are other models that are cheaper but this one has anodized plates that last longer than the others.

Has anyone tried hypochlorous acid for cleaning, plant health or in the rez?

Interesting find @Smokin Joe I've never used that. I used potassium sorbate, dawn dish soap and olive oil. Sprayed every 3 days for a month seems to knocked it out for now as I see no signs of it on my plants. Fingers crossed!

We'll know in a couple of days. The eco one and potassium chloride will be here tomorrow.

You can use kosir salt but I chose potassium chloride because we will be using it in the root zone also and sodium chloride is bad for the root zone. This is the same ingredient in drip clean and several other products used for cleaning.

I've been using organic stylet oil for years with great results, you can spray it into late flower. I mix 1 oz per gallon with some Dr Bronners and only need to spray every 10 days to 14 days.

I feel like it comes down to coverage in our case. The grow safe works really well and I believe if I were to get perfect coverage it would knock the pm out. But I feel like for what ever reason we just haven't gotten complete coverage. Only way I feel like we can achieve that with grow safe is using a fogger and I think we would blow bubbles. With the hypochlorous acid we can use the ulv foger and get complete coverage and since hoci is a disinfectant/sanitizer it's a dual purpose treatment.

I'll post results soon

Well I got the machine and have had a few days to play with it and ask every question I could think of and even made several batches. Used it to sanitize a room before moving plants in and tonight I sprayed a few plants in flow for a test. According to what I've read and answers to questions I'm making 1.5 liters at around 300 ppm of hclo in 24 minutes at a ph of between 4.5 & 5.0..

I sprayed this undiluted as recommended for wpm.

I'll get back with results in a few days
