No root porn shots from me men. Some root discussion recently here. Last couple pots I dumped I was less than impressed with my roots. Not many bigger ones reaching very far? When I was first inside I used heavily amended soil I had for my outdoor. Had better plants for the most part too. Ammended and cooked for months. Organic indoors requires a way tighter ship than outdoors. I had issues. Got help here. So I backed off and went to jugs for now. Not a huge deal.

I think my plants liked that ripe soil way better. For Bubbleheads I went back to that soil. Moved 5 full 27 gallon totes to get at it. That sucked, but not as much as shitty roots. Added the Mycos as it "seemed" to give better roots, not going to hurt. Doubt I'll buy more. Outdoor roots got compost tea every week to 10 days too. So I'll go back to frequent pump noise that annoys my neighbor. "The sound waifs over the fence." I'm subtle. "Fuck you. Move. This neighborhood that you can see is mine by right of eminent domain. Know what that is you stupid shit". She no longer bothers me. Or looks my way.

Hasn't been an issue, but got pot risers for 25 cents each at the thrift store too. Not stewed roots.

8 of Classics Critical Romulan into solos. Pretty uniform, nobody real leggy, or lagging.  More Trainwreck tomorrow. They'll fit.  Been feeding nutes at suggested rate, but I see some consistent nutes lacking. Always hungry.  I'll check PPM next time I water, which I don't normally do. Then get some honest advice so I don't fry anyone.

Definitely, no question the old stuff is where the true gems are, but there’s some new”ish” strains that are pretty amazing as well, just maybe 15-20 breeders worth buying anymore unfortunately and most truly are the OG’s . I think especially when popping packs of at least 10 beans that ANY strain from those breeders has true keeper potential. Tbh that’s what keeps me going. Although I’m glad I’ve now learned of a few more breeders on my radar since coming to Z-Labs and that excites me. Can’t wait to get to these beans and to see what you and everyone else here throws down with them

Tall UM out, and straight to the yard waste. That's a real bummer. Thrips never backed off on this. Kept trying different options. It was on both to start. The short one responded well. I see zero damage on any smaller plants, but am treating and watching close. Interesting how they liked the one. Bet it was tasty. Sacrificial lamb.

Emptied and cleaned the tent. Plants were sitting on nursery 5s. Might be where the thrips came from? The came from a commercial gardner buddy. Gone too. Only there until the older UMs were out.

2 Atonics found a new home before they got too big to move easy. Nice plants. Buddy was happy with his "Cakefighters". 2 Death Star x RAB fems and one still hiding. Bet it's a male. Different look. I really like the structure on the 2 girls. I don't like the structure of the GK x. Wants to grow in on itself. Like zero stretch. Smells sticky sweet.

Group shot with 3 spots to fill. 4 if I'm not lazy and hang a fan, which were cleaned today. Those empty spots will be 3 Antenna Gorilla Banana. Looking for one strain that's strictly early part of the day. May or may not like it. Been a long time for one of those.

Photos off my tablet, we'll see if they improved.

So I got Bad Dawg freebies here, more in the 2x. I am seeing a lot of interest on Insta. Mostly not guys in the Z-labs. Nice to see the recognition. One guy mentioned hoarding them. I've had good luck outdoors with several and haven't had one I didn’t enjoy.

Same. Crownpoodle. Don't really post anything. Mostly another way to fuck off and waste time. I couldn't remember two screen names anyways..

I too have noticed the uptake in people mentioning GLG freebies. It’s cuz he puts in the work and has access to some gems. I personally love the sounds of most things I’ve obtained from there. Especially sunshine #4 I’m excited to grow them all eventually. Looking good in there brother

@TopShelfTrees what baffles me is the reservations folks have sending a few bills in the mail to get GLG gear. Are you kidding me? What I've personally put in the mail and what I know of from others? I buy everything I can out of my "recipe box".

@TopShelfTrees I was moving stuff around earlier and found a loose Bad Dawg pack. MaGooey x Sunshine #4. Something in the Afghan crosses works for me. Must have found me hand for a reason. One less choice for the Ouigi board.

15 days. Death Star x is 6" taller than the Atonic x. They all got a foliar compost tea and a quart on the roots. Bubbleheads still showing something lacking. 0221221719.thumb.jpg.7e410db86d8c97a322ccc0cb2783b0a1.jpg

The 2x is going to be real full. My timing starting now ones my be premature. We'll see. I want the 2x for starts, and another 4x for veg.

UM going into the jar.

Yards happy. I dump all the excess tea here.

Are you able to check the runoff/runout PH?
Are you able to the runoff/runout PPM?
Note PH and PPM of the water/feed going in before test, please!

You may have K built up in your soil.
Give that a shot and we can try some things to fix that if things are out of whack a bit here.

@shaggy, yea I can check those. Thanks for showing interest. I'll throw up a good photo showing leaves tomorrow. Ph going in consistently runs 6.4-6.6 after nute adds. I looked at PPM recently and it was way out of whack, but water had Regalia and a little molasses. Might have thrown things off. Dropped meter? Been meaning to follow up. I have a different tester to use too. Today was just some tea. They're due to be fed. You more interested in nute input and runoff? Or water only. Water runs to the hard side here. Not as bad now. Used to destroy my coffee maker in short order.

I know I have an Ace Hardware soil test kit. Where? Pretty sure my wife messed it up again. Too much stuff I never might need?

Here we have Crownpoodle's humidity dome cheap hack. Works well on starts.0220221154_HDR.thumb.jpg.5601cf65295795220da219f12f32cd87.jpg

@crownpoodle just a thought, but if those liittl' uns are cuttings, then perfect, but if they're

seedlings I would suggest you get those domes off soonish or they're going to 'damp off'.

@highdihigh They're already off. Seedlings.  Didn't have enough tor all the solos.  Ones with are all ahead of ones without. They get 2-3 days domed, never on for 24. Watch my light source too. Amazing how fast little ones grow and fall over it they look too hard for light.

Yea, nute runoff is what I would like to see.
To know what is truly coming out you need to know how much is going in first.
Then subtract, same with PH, I suspect your soil may be getting acidic.
So measure the PH and PPM of the water going in and then out.

Good luck!

@shaggy I'll get after it. I have Espoma Garden Lime, but was reluctant to add to my already amended soil, admittedly not knowing shit. Send everyone to hell quick if I'm not careful.

I had to add lime in mine because previous mix had big mag deficiency in veg. I counter the rising PH with oyster shell. It keeps PH around 6 all the time and also helps with Calcium in the soil to he broken down by the roots.

I’m starting to notice issues myself going back to soilless and not using what I’m use to, hoping it’s just ph out of whack but as shaggy said use your Ec/ppm meter to check water before watering and the runoff after as well as ph in the same fashion. Usually will point to the issue if that’s it.

Normally I run strictly RO but haven’t hooked up my RO system because I need a splitter I keep procrastinating getting lol, now it’s causing issues running tap water.

UM failure. Really pissed about this. I was excited to see such different phenos side by side. I'm pissed at myself. For lack of due diligence spotting the thrips right away. For not having what I needed to respond how I wanted. For not responding as vigilantly as needed. Might not find the same plants, but this plant will grow again a bit down the road.

I did have a bunch of unscheduled mayhem in my life. It's passing. Not touching that jar except to burp it. Maybe UM might be a good strain to cope with mayhem. Reminds me I have overdue smoke reports.
