Mine doesn’t run much. Only at night so far. I’m just running 10 30g at the moment so there isn’t much water in the room. I’m running my humidity during the day at 80% to get my vpd where it needs to be for my temp.

Not sure if we discussed this in text or not but from all the info and recommendations I've read and heard , your temperature is too low for leds. Leds don't put off much heat and don't bring the leaf temps up like hid lights do so you will have better growth results with room temps around 80 or slightly above.

Here's our flower room 2 hrs after lights on.

This may indicate we should add some far red or UV.....No?

The far red would help in some ways. Infrared would do more for heat though than uv but neither are good for you to be in the room with.

That's part of the savings in leds, less heat to cool.

I'm still on the fence about the switch. Currently in the winter i need to run 1,500w - 3,000w of heat in my room when only one of the 1k hps is running. When both are running its good, the heaters only run at night.

The room is cooled by passive air from outside. The exhaust fan hardly ever runs the way it is with 2k in the winter. It's also hard to keep the humidity up in the winter. So the cost benefit doesn't add up in the winter.

However in the summer it's the opposite. So I could run LED in the summer without the need for added heat.

I like the idea of LEDs. But I'll be spending more to run them in the winter and wont get the air exchange needed for fresh Co2.

It seems the LEDs work best in sealed rooms?

Please correct me if I'm not in full understanding...thank you for your time.

I totally understand your situation. Kinda in the same boat myself. I've got a personal grow starting at home and have to run my de hps at 1150 watts to keep the room warm enough.

It’s from the TrolMaster app

How are you controlling your HLG's? With an LMA-14 and ECS-2's?

Thanks

That’s correct. Sorry for the delay.

Right on, thanks.

At some point I need to do the same. I am currently using the Trolmaster Expander Station.

I do like the Trolmaster setup sofar. I don't like the single point of failure yet I like the all in one control at my finger tips. Simple enough to have a hot stand by controller with a couple misc modules on the shelf.

We are working to fire up a legal "limited" grow, up to 500 sq ft canopy, using a dozen HLG 650's for flowering so the more real life experience info I can gather on matters like this the better. Knowledge is power!

I’ve had some issues with the Ecs-2 connections. I should have bought one ecs-2 and ran all the lights off the one connector. I bought one for each light.

That doesn't sound good. How would you run all off of one ECS-2? Run a bunch of wire sets into a single ECS-2 terminal block? If so would there be enough power thru it or any other unforeseen issues?

Run them all in series. Jump the dim wires from light to light.
