Plants I've Grown and Loved

I’m going to show off some of my work which used to be hosted on Oceangrownlounge before it went down, and on my IG channel (McPhenotype) before I disappeared for a couple years. These will by no means be posted in a formal and structured grow log, so I don’t mind if the thread goes off on tangents. I am fairly new here and don’t have a grow log to speak of posted, so this is just going to be an informal few pics and some barely-coherent rambling in the hopes that the community might get to know me better.  Bear in mind, I'm still a new grower.  What I'll be posting here represents the work I've done in my first 2 (and only) years of growing to this point.

Disclaimer* this is a duplicated grow log cross-posted on a couple forums.   I have no current grows going as I just put my house up for sale.

This is Jaguar Shark, an (as of yet) unreleased tester cross of of Animal Cookies to Man O War from Ocean Grown Seeds.  2 phenos here, one purpled out a bit more.  The buds on this were dense as any I've ever come across.  Great stuff, and that coming from a guy who isn't big on cookie crosses.

Zero Gravity from North Genetics. I really loved the aesthetics on this plant, a nice head high to this one is all I remember. You’ll notice how some of my grows show purple/fall colors in some plants but green in others of the same genetics. I am convinced this is due to the light I flowered the purple-leaf plants under (DuoLux 600) vs straight white light 3000k - 4000k COB mix on the ones that did not purple out.  Echo that sentiment across a lot of what I'll be posting here because CLEARLY...newbie error, pH fluctuations, low feeding temps, etc. could have had anything to do with it... 😆  That and just general variability because well...poly-hybrids

9 lb hammer from Jinxproof Genetics.  I was hyped as this one grew, it produced plenty.  However, when it came time to trim it was a nightmare.  I don't recall the smoke being as incredible as I'd hoped, but I did only grow a single plant of this.

Chem K from North Genetics. This one was a hell of a yielder, good lord, most colas were baseball bats. But something about the smell on this one turned me off. Kinda had that halitosis thing going which I’ll chalk up to the Hawgsbreath in its genes. I wouldn’t call this one a very “chemmy” chem strain.  The first pic looks like a different strain entirely but some of them did that, especially right under the blurple LED diodes.

Beyond Dreams by North Genetics.  I expected this one to purple more than it did, but I didn't care because the high was excellent.

Alien Rift from Ocean Grown Seeds.  I only grew 1 pheno of this but would like to try again now that I know a little more about what I’m doing. This was the 2nd plant I ever grew, I think. I’m not bragging, but I think I did pretty damn good, considering I probably put it through newbie hell with overfeeding and pH problems. Dry onion-y note that could make you donate a lung, but it was worth it.

I guess I'm out of space, but you get the idea:  I was a newbie grower who had done his homework but needed to figure things out by doing.  I'm still the same guy, but I've learned a few things and my focus has shifted more towards strain preservation and away from just outright mixing.  Cheers, I'll be lurking!

Nice thread you have going @Morbidly_OG. Beatiful flowers too. Thanks for sharing the experience.

If you're out of file/attachment storage space set up a portfolio in the gallery. Load the images there and than attach to the threads. Unlimited gallery space...or more then we'll use anytime soon.

Space should not be an issue.

Go to galleries and create one for yourself.

then you can leave them there ( in your gallery), or post them in your thread.

Nice healthy ladies.

welcome to the lab.

Thanks for that...I wasn't sure how that worked bc i'd seen thread on here with quite a bit more in them and was a bit confused.

Some Kogi from Norstar.  This one yielded well and was a pretty easy sativa to grow indoors.  Handled heat like a champ, too, I think it stretched right up to my 400w HPS that I used as supplemental.  The smoke was...meh.   I unloaded a good bit of this on a buddy who politely asked for something else when I offered him more.

This is Blue Banner Cookies from Kanna Genetics, two phenos shown here.  The green one I remember smelled just like fruity pebbles cereal.

Here are a bunch of phenos of Ninja Fruit from Stoned Ninja (now running Dojo Seed Co.)  I ended up keeping the red/pinkish pheno for it's color and it's licorice/spice taste.

Chernobyl from TGA.  I'll be honest, I wasn't overly impressed with this one EXCEPT the electric lime slurpee pheno, which I'm fairly sure is what people call the "slimer" cut.  Holy cow, it would be worth it to grow out multiple packs to find this one again.  I mean it smelled like artificial lime candy syrup...truly something pretty cool.  This one was finicky though, and a few of them hermed on me.  I think you can spot a seed in one of these pics somewhere.

Representing a bunch of gear. I dig it bro. You're putting up some nice looking plants. Its guys like you that make gear look good.

I appreciate that.   Yea this thread is just a log of what I've grown to date.  I don't have anything going at the moment until my house sells and I relocate but I figured I'd throw these up as kind of a resume/CV to the grow community.  I don't represent anyone or any company, I just grew a bit of everything during my first few years.  I'm starting to lean away from poly-hybrid stuff and more towards landraces and classic lines nowadays, though.

Welcome to The Lab @Morbidly_OG !! Digging that Flower Power for sure, It seems you’ve grown a few from Ocean Grown Seeds. There are some absolutely stunning purple phenos of that Ninja Fruit. Always nice to see Bay State folks here at The Lab.

Ahh...nah I'm an easterner bordering on those great lakes of ours.  At least for now til I move.  I was into ocean grown for a while, did some testing for them and cut my teeth in the forum world on the ocean grown lounge before it went down.
