Zoot
Alright, I am going to try out some autos. This will be my first attempt at growing out autos in awhile and the ones in the past I’ve never had great success with so fingers crossed. I’ve got two seeds in a 5 gallon pot of amended Fox Farms Ocean Forest. Both seeds went in together on 10/21 and both came up on 10/27, six days from entering the soil to emerging from it. eta January 9 2020 = 75 days from popping out. Plus minus a few days Link to comment

herbert
With my traveling work schedule I think that autos are the solution to growing my meds. I have gotten freebie autos and they were plug n play. 3-5 gallon organic mix and they just go. Perfect for winter in my latitude. im watching this thread, looking forward to see what o can do with this strain. Link to comment
Pot Boy
Never grown a auto strain, Ill be watching close.. Link to comment

highdihigh
@zoot - As far as I can gather the preferred light regimen for many auto growers is 20/4 - however, I've seen stellar results from growers using 24/0. I guess the more light an auto can receive in it's short life cycle the better - to a degree. Perhaps if one of our captive auto gurus stumbles across this thread they could comment etc. Good luck with these mate ! Link to comment
gorilla ganja
I agree the more light the better. That's why I believe auto's can out produce photo's in the same time frame. Peace GG Link to comment
Guest Mountain Wizard
I'm just going to give some observations, no conclusions, ain't no guru. I feel that the beginning stages of autos is spent where the roots are eagerly searching for what will be there final home (container). This is where porous soil is imperative. It not only makes it easier for the root hairs to stretch and grow, it provides more oxygen, increasing root metabolism. As always, don't forget the mychroizai (sp) for added root vigor. So, I feel as with clones that are putting most energy into root dev., The light schedule above 18-20 hrs will prob result in some early (too early) stretching without proper support. There will be about a 3 week stall after you have developed a few nodes, then it will start taking off. I have done many harvests at full 24, and some at 20 and 18. The obvious result is that the nodes are closer and the overall plant is usually a little smaller, but not necessarily less bud weight. Much has to do with genetics. The Zkittlez autos I did were freakin huge plants and luckily filled out, but much wasted space when you are trying to put many plants under your lights and getting good penetration. The one I noticed many times and never really researched, is autos that I have been keeping on full 24, will develop yellow crowns over night due to the difference. Some believe a rest period of at least 4 hrs a night is needed for proper growth. The yellowing goes away in a day or two. I know the transpiration takes place during the day and supposedly the nutrient uptake is different during the night hrs. I actually haven't noticed huge differences over the years when you add in all the different variables for every season and different strains. In the past when everyone was using mh/hps it made more of a difference due to utility cost vs harvest weight. You figure, the only place on Earth you have 24 hrs sunlight is above the Arctic circle. Prob not much pot growing up there. Lol Link to comment
Bugman
most autos i gerw was on 18/6 , altho i did start some on 24/0 for the first couple weeks, then switch to 18/6 Link to comment

herbert
Is there any training? Or just LST? I’m interested in this strain because for me autoflower is good, fire and forget with a good complete soil, I was looking around for I think it was Zoot you had an all inclusive soil formula right? Or was it limos. Link to comment
