Drop seeds in water :  26 August (Full Moon)

Put seeds into soil   :  27 August

Seeds sprouted        :  1 September

Soil used for seedling :  Dairy Doo Pro Vegetable 301

Lights Used for seedling:  Lumigrow LED (Blue 10, Red 2) (18 hrs)

Plants have been numbered in the order in which they sprouted.  All sprouted within the same 18 hour light period.  2 sprouts are yellow, I attribute this to soil being to wet and maybe to "hot".  10/10 on germination, 3 may be lost to growers error (2,4 and 8).

Looking good. It seems mine like it moist but not wet, to much kind of slows them down.

Day 17 of Veg

Things are going well.  I lost #2 , #4 and #8 due to overwatering.  Plants were transplanted after these photos into 1.5 gal pots.

Group Photo (#1 is in back left.  Order in front row: 3, 5, 6, 7, 9 and 10)

Those look awesome and if they are anything like ACE PCK they are apical dominant.  Resist any urge to top them.

Day 30 of Veg

These were transplanted on 9/18 into 1 gal. pots.  A few days later they were showing signs of stress so I made several more drainage holes. #6 took the wet feet the hardest.  All are now stretching and taking up water.  For the most part the height is pretty uniform, there are slight difference in leaf serrations, #6 seems to be the most different looking out of all of them.   These have not been fed anything as of yet, just natural spring water.  Planning on feeding fermented comfrey at 1 tbs. in the watering after next.  I have foiler sprayed with coconut water after the drainage holes were drilled to speed up recovery.  LED lights are still at Blue spectrum (10) and Red Spectrum (2).  *Lumigrow LEDs have a dial to allow light intensity of Red and Blue spectrum.

Thanks @zoot  They are growing themselves for sure, the only limiting factor is me, the human :)  I am having a slight learning curve with this landrace and watering.  Thanks for looking out and the advice.

Thank you @unregistered190 looking forward to see the uniformity in the bud structure, and smells.  But also looking forward to finding the differences in stretch and smells.

@Doc_Gage things are moving along nice 🙂  @zoot  Nice plants, soon I will make a determination to the question...."To top or not to top...that is the question."

Plants may be showing signs of heat stress I am working to remedy that.

Plants were fed fermented comfrey at 1tsp/gallon on 10/5.  That has been the only thing fed other than water.

Plant #7 is showing different leaf serration than the others.

Plant #1 is the tallest and drinks the most water.

Plant #10 is the most squat.

Plants will be put into flower once there are verified rooted clones for R&D.

I bet with their short, stout structure they would make some killer hybrids with an unruly sativa like Thai, Colombian, Burmese, Mexican, African ......

@GoodEnergyGrower  The structure looks very much like similar genetics I've grown in the past, specifically Medijuana and ACE's PCK.

I think the question you need to ask yourself is how much longer do you want to veg them and are you concerned with yield or bud rot at all.

IMHE, if you top them (especially more than once) they will probably need another 30 days of veg at a minimum to develop the structure to make that worthwhile.  I doubt these plants will stretch that much when you flip to flower, so you'll probably not gain that much in yield.

If I recall, you use organics so you can't really drive growth like the hydro growers can at that point, the only positive I can see is that smaller, less dense flowers are less likely to rot if you don't have your environmental conditions under control.

If I've made any false assumptions I apologize, but I've grown a few like that before.

@dawn patrol thank you very much for sharing your experience.   You are correct, it does appear your pics have similar structure to Sar Hawza.

I plan on vegging these plants for another 2 weeks possibly 3.  I have just transplanted them into 3 gal pots.

My climate is much better controlled in the flower room so I am more confident in regards to environment in the flower room.  I am not concerned with yield, I am just trying my best to give it a solid "full season" grow, with a 60 day plus veg.

I do not usually top plants, except sativa strains.  With these I will not top, just to see their natural structure.

@dawn patrol  you have nothing to apologize for, I greatly appreciate you reaching through and sharing your experience.  Many thanks!!!

Whoo hoo!  I tell you @Comacus my mind wonders and wonders.  It is like an entire wing of a library just opened up and there is much to read and once those are read, new thoughts and consciousness can expand because of this new discovery!  lol,  But I agree I have been thinking of the Sativas I have in the library and I get to smiling, then I think of the indicas (Dakini Kush, Gorilla Biscuit) I have and I get to giggling, then I think of the pure CBDs (Otto II, Super Rich) I have and I get excited to help heal and push forward.

Off the top of my head here are some sativas I will be able to work with:

Panama Red, Purple Haze Thai, Golden Tiger, Kung Pow Thai, Black Congo, Black Magic, Purple Green Highland Lao, Acapulco Gold, Pakistani Peshawar, and

(Malawi x Artifact 1 x 8813/HP)

Good Day to everyone!   Let's see what's going on in the veg tent.  @Doc_Gage    Pre-Flowers started to show around Day 35, they have become clear to see now to a point where it is clear to see male and female.

Females are: #3, #5, #7.    #7 is the most squat and of the 3 females this is the only one with pistils protruding from the pre-flowers.  #3 and #5 are clearly females but have yet to push out the pistils.

Males are #1, #6, #9, #10.  #1 is the tallest and has the strongest scent.  The structure is tight to the main stalk.

Notes for future growers.  When I transplanted these into 3 gal pots and added more air circulation, the undergrowth started to grow and stretch.  The fan leaves took more of an upword angle as well.  To me this was the plant being happier in the change of conditions.  Reason I say this is, I have been waiting to get favorable undergrowth to take clones,  it was only until they were in 3 gal pots with added circulation.  Suggestion would be to put plants into 3 gals after the seedling stage, instead of what I did:  Solo cup then 1 gal, then 3 gal.

For clones, I took two from each plant.  One group I cloned with cloning gel, and the other I used only fresh organically grown aloe.  Reason I have done this is.....some articles I have read (sorry I don't have the link at the moment)  have suggested that using the chemical induced cloning gels and techniques can stunt/damage the plants dna/cell structure and it may cause it to gradually lose its favorable traits as the clones start to have more generations taken from them.

BRO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF=) Where have I been all this time and how have I missed this journal????? So my bad. Just finished going through the entire journal....all I can say is you are doing it right my friend!! I know we ALL absolutely appreciate all the hard work and updates you have been so generous to share. I hope everyone who has a chance to grow these genetics can begin to share what they have and possibly back breed. I also agree with what was said a little bit ago....breeding with other solid genetics both solid THC and CBD strains.....the possibilities are endless and the opportunities are bounding!!! There is so much to learn from all of this, and @TheMan13 and  @zoot have also been an absolute friend with sharing his grow as well. @TheMan13 has taken on the hardest task of all and is growing the F1's....he has a great looking male now that we are still trying to decide what to do with it. This thread is truly a one-of-a-kind and needs to keep on going....what we all can accomplish together....family style....is nothing short of amazing and I am very proud to be a part of this journey with you all. I will definitely try and make it our your way sometime after the holidays....and until then keep up the amazing work!!!!!!! We will be meeting again and I look forward to what magic creations you come up with.....like a fukn mad scientist=!) Definitley follow zoots journal and keep on sharing that great info. The strength and virility of these genetics would benefit any strain you mix them with.....and being the first to do so is by far a happy day=) I will be following this journal closely as I have been with @TheMan13 and @zoot and like you....feeling very excited to the future of what dreams may come. Semper High!

Thanks for stopping in @Doc_Gage!   All is going great and these genetics are exciting to say the least!    Anytime you are up my way, just holler, 3 hots and a cot if you and yours need it 🙂

Here is a group shot of the males.  I will flower them out in the 3 gal pots (going into flower tonight) to see what 12/12 brings to the structure and smells.  I have cuttings of all of these so all males and females will be available for another run or for cuttings.

Order: #10 , #1, #9, #6

1888046787_MaleGroup.thumb.jpg.3b6b9c872f0d69a28ac48384c69fb723.jpg

The females are on Day 3 of 12/12 light cycle.  So far there has been some stretch.  #3 and #5 are starting to branch out and take on a bush structure, still looking to see if the center cola stretches out but so far the side branches are coming into height with the top cola.  Here are the females.  These were transplanted into 25 gallon pots of living soil, and given an aloe foiler spray.

#7

SH7.thumb.jpg.17dec87f711753ecf4dbe053d425d15f.jpg

I plan to do an open pollination on these females, what I mean by that is....I will take pollen from all 4 males and pollinate the lower branches of the females.  After this flower cycle I will narrow down the males to hopefully one or two, to do another pollination run of the Sar Hawza.  After that I will take the chosen males and start to hit the Sativas, CBDs and Indicas I have in the library:)

Well damn my friend!! Excellent update to say the least. I can't even begin to explain how stoked I am that you have decided to give these genetics the proper opportunities I always knew would happen some day under the right caretakers. I believe that mixing these genetics with other hybrids will only strengthen them in many variable ways. Again....you are the first to do so and documenting this journey will only benefit MANY more growers in the future. Keep up the great work!! BTW...I think you mentioned you snowboard right? If you hit the hills then maybe a winter trip can be planned?? Looking forward to the next update=)

@Doc_Gage Good vibes all around brother!!  Divine Providence it is indeed is 😉  The story now continues eh!?

And brother, any crosses made or gems found would be for your organizations or for your further use.

As for the snowboarding....I do not snowboard as of yet, but I do live just down the road from a ski resort!!  So maybe if you ever wanted to hit the slopes you could do the mountain near me, but I could also learn before you get here and we could shred it up or we could laugh our asses off at me trying.

Until next update, be well!!
